innovation through sustainable public procurement - SMART SPP implementation phase will start in Austria

Prove consultancy work and the ICLEI European Secretariat closely in the implementation of the European project "SMART SPP - innovation through sustainable public procurement" in Austria. The cooperation includes the monitoring of cities and public institutions in the implementation phase of SMART SPP in Austria.

In the project carried out with local and central purchasing body tenders using concrete and testing of the SMART SPP approach. The approach provides enhanced communication and integration of the market in advance of the tender for the collection of energy-efficient solutions and the accompanying use of a newly developed life cycle cost and CO2 emission calculator before.

The focus is on the procurement field lighting, information and communication technologies, building heating and cooling and electric vehicles.

SMART Austria SPP implementation phase runs from January 2010 to December 2011. the project is carried out with financial support of the Ministry as well as economic and living of local authorities, Vienna IT Enterprises.

first Austrian Green Building Award
